An especially warm welcome to all the people near and far who have either strong links via family or to people who have visited the area in the past. We will endeavour to keep you informed of all the events and happenings in the district, both civic and other events occurring throughout the year.
We have so much to be proud of within the Town, the
Medieval castle;
the historic and beautiful St Mary’s
Church on
Lady Street; Kymer’s Canal, the
first canal to
be built in Wales; Kidwelly Quay with its wide variety of
wildlife
and Glan yr
Afon Nature Reserve with its abundant
bird life, flora and fauna. A walk along the estuary is an
inviting
and invigorating walk, on either a warm summer day or a
cold winter
afternoon. The Industrial Museum
in Mynyddygarreg
is also worth a visit, to see evidence of our tin-making
heritage
and other worthy relics from the past. There is so much to
see
and do in and around Kidwelly.
A Warm welcome is extended to all. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
Fran Burke-Lloyd
